inside the nctuary
The Sanctuary of Aphrodite is Goddess Therapy. A unique offering of body-soul-heart work that is deeply devotional, mythic and rooted in the tradition of Depth Psychology.
The Sanctuary includes eight 80-minute, 1:1 sessions with psychotherapist Libby Rose Waite. Sessions are online or in-person in Shropshire, UK.
Our work will be held in devotion to the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite. This means we make offerings to her. We imagine her face. We chant her Orphic Hymn. And you will learn to make space for her, in your home, your awareness, your life.
Together, we explore the domains she rules and how they shape your existence. Love. Relationship. Beauty. Body image. Self-worth. Self-love. Sexuality. Pleasure. Money.
This isn't psychotherapy. But it will be wildly therapeutic.
You will soften, strengthen, and ripen the aspects of your life which Aphrodite governs. In honouring her grace, you rebuild the altars to her.
Together, we rebuild the Sanctuary of Aphrodite and invite more beauty, more love and more pleasure into the world.
How we work together
We draw on three threads throughout our time: Intuitive Astrology, Depth Psychology and Devotional Somatics.
Intuitive Astrology
We begin with your Venus placement and the aspects that relate to it. We explore what it means through felt sense, not just theory. We look at your natal chart, with particular reference to house systems.
Your Venus placement becomes our anchor. We return to it again and again so you can trust exactly how Aphrodite speaks to you. What she longs for. What she loves. How she longs to be loved.
So that you get very clear on what it is that you want and how it is that you will get it.
Depth Psychology
We work with imaginal archetypes. We work with dream. We use process-oriented practices to get you closer to the aliveness stirring in body and soul.
We let image be a guiding force. We honour the synchronicities and living symbols that show up as you step into this process and let them guide you forward.
We seep in soul. When we let Aphrodite flood soul, we invite Eros back into intimacy. We work with mythology, Aphrodite's own myths alongside your personal ones, using Ancient Greek wisdom as a mirror for your own unfolding story.
So that you orient back towards your own story, your own power, your own soul.
Devotional Somatics
You'll be supported to create devotional practices that hold you through the container, and beyond. This includes touch, honouring sensation. building altars in your space and altars in your own body.
We soften into sensation. We find ways to ground and steady. We go deep into the temple of the body and we clear the cobwebs, sweep the sanctum and resurrect the effigies to Aphrodite as she lives as you.
We draw on Somatic Experiencing, Authentic Movement and Body-Mind Centering, approaching your body with trauma awareness, respect and devotional care.
So that pleasure stops throbbing in your head and begins to ripple through your whole body.

Let's be honest. The world is starved of pleasure, soul and eros. The Altars to Aphrodite have been laid to waste, and we are the poorer for it.
Why are we shamed for wanting, for desiring, for devouring? You deserve a life that is flooded with pleasure, aliveness and love. The way back, is to rebuild the altars to Her.
Research suggests a third of women lack interest in sex. Only 4 in 10 say they regularly reach orgasm during sexual actively. Nearly half of us are unhappy with our bodies.

Meet Your Guide:
Libby Rose Waite
I am a psychotherapist immersed in depth psychology, somatic storytelling and mythopoetics. I am a devotee of the Goddess and delighted to offer you Goddess Therapy.
I hold a Masters in Psychology. I teach embodiment. I founded Embodied Dream Weaving as a devotional act: to help the world remember how to dream.
I love letting the mythic be rewritten through embodied exploration. I'm massively nerdy about astrology, and deeply devotional about the gods.
Turning to Aphrodite has revolutionised my own life. So much love has flooded in since I trusted her. This work is my way of serving her, in gratitude for all she's given me. I want everyone to meet all that she can offer them, when we honour her and lay our offerings at her altars.

The Sanctuary is held by me Libby Rose Waite. I’m a BACP-licensed psychotherapist, somatic storyteller, embodiment guide and Jungian researcher. I have a Masters in Psychology and years of devotion to depth work, ritual and the body. I hope to bring devotion and heart, academic rigour and soulful imagination to all my offerings. I am also a tantrika, weaving eros and soul into my work with myth, dream and ritual.

Once booked, you are committed to the container and if paying by payment plan, are liable for all payments.
When booking sessions, you can change sessions up to 48 hours in advance. Later than that, the session will be charged.
You can change dates for free discovery call up to 48 hours in advance as well. After that, any cancellation will mean you lose the session and cannot rebook, except in extenuating circumastances. -
